From Passion to Purpose: Praneeta Kumar Shringi’s Journey of Building Design Answers

May 1, 2025

In a world where creative businesses often chase trends, Praneeta Kumar Shringi chose a different path—one rooted in purpose, clarity, and the power of strategic design. As the founder of DesignAnswers, a Gurgaon-based multidisciplinary design studio, Praneeta has redefined what it means to lead with both creative vision and business intelligence.

Her journey isn’t just about building a successful agency—it’s about rewriting the rules of entrepreneurship, especially for women who want to lead without losing themselves in the process.

From Vision to Reality: The Start of DesignAnswers

Founded in 2016, DesignAnswers began as a leap of faith. After over 20 years in the design industry, Praneeta felt a strong pull toward independence—not just to launch a business, but to build a life that made room for both ambition and motherhood. She wasn’t just chasing success—she was creating space for balance.

That’s how DesignAnswers was born: a design consultancy that blends creative excellence with real-world strategy. “We didn’t want to be just another agency,” says Praneeta. “We wanted to partner with brands in a way that made a tangible business impact.”

Global Perspective That Powers This Woman Entrepreneur’s Work

With over 17 years in design, Praneeta Kumar Shringi has worked with startups, D2C brands, MNCs, and large Indian corporates—blending creativity with business strategy. Her approach is shaped by her education at Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, and sharpened by global exposure at Parsons (New York) and Politecnico di Milano. This background laid the foundation for her design thinking-driven approach, helping her craft solutions that are both strategic and scalable.

Design as a Business Tool

Under Praneeta’s leadership, DesignAnswers does more than make things look good—it makes them work. The studio’s approach is grounded in design thinking, ensuring every project—whether it's branding, packaging, or a full-scale campaign—is crafted with purpose and precision.

With a client base of 80+ brands, the studio has worked across industries: FMCG, beauty, luxury, tech, and social impact. From projects for Bangalore International Airport and Wingreens Farms to the Digi Yatra Foundation, the work reflects a signature blend of aesthetic excellence and strategic insight.

The Human Side of Leadership

What sets Praneeta apart isn’t just her design sensibility—it’s her clarity of purpose. She built DesignAnswers as a reflection of her values: freedom, flexibility, and fearless creativity. As a woman entrepreneur, she intentionally crafted a structure that allowed her to be both a present parent and a hands-on leader.

“In the early years, the biggest challenge wasn’t about funding or clients—it was about redefining what success looked like for me,” she shares. “DesignAnswers was never about scaling fast. It was about scaling right.”

That mindset has paid off. Today, the studio has a team of 28, added 15 new roles in the last year, and grown revenue by 20%, all while keeping culture and creativity intact.

Awards, Recognition, and Relationships That Last

DesignAnswers isn’t new to praise. The studio has won India’s Best Design Project Award every year since 2020, a rare feat in the industry. But for Praneeta, the real win lies in long-term client relationships. “Our success has come from the trust we’ve built,” she says. “We focus on delivering impact, not just ideas.”

One of her proudest moments? The Palash Project with Bangalore International Airport. As CMO Shalini Rao put it, “Working alongside DesignAnswers has been a good experience, as they understand the essence of what we aimed to achieve. Together, we have crafted something meaningful for the communities that our Airport serves.”

On March 1, 2025, Praneeta won the Women Listed’s “Celebrating Excellence Awards: 4th Edition” for her impressive entrepreneurial journey and business growth that she has shown in last one year.

Challenges and Real Talk

Running a service business comes with its share of ups and downs. For Praneeta, cash flow has been one of the toughest nuts to crack. Her strategy? Grow cautiously and keep a sharp eye on the numbers. It’s a philosophy rooted in sustainability, not speed.

Her leadership style is grounded in relationship-building, clear communication, and a relentless focus on quality. “In our industry, repeat business is everything. And that only happens when clients know you care about their success as much as your own.”

What’s Next for DesignAnswers?

As she looks ahead, Praneeta is gearing up to expand DesignAnswers across geographies, setting up new offices and building local presence in key markets. There’s also a plan to launch a proprietary product line, merging the team’s design strengths with market opportunity.

Always evolving, always intentional, Praneeta is building not just a company, but a creative legacy that’s rooted in integrity, innovation, and impact.

Final Word

Praneeta Kumar Shringi’s story is one of quiet power, of choosing the harder, more meaningful path over shortcuts and hype. She’s proof that design can be both a creative force and a business tool, and that leadership doesn’t have to come at the cost of life outside the office.

In an industry often obsessed with the next big thing, Praneeta built something lasting, and that might just be the boldest design of all.
